Graydon Isaiah Lee was born Sept 12, 2002 @ 4:09am. for a while there we thought he was going to be born on Sept. 11 : (

here's a brief writeup of the first couple of days:
This is an update on the past wonderful but hectic week. For those who have been trying to reach us, this message answers why we haven’t been able to return your well-wishes.

Graydon Isaiah Lee, a beautiful baby boy, was born on September 12 at 4:09am to very proud parents. He was 6 lbs 14.5 oz and measured almost 20 inches tall (gets that from dad). Out of the last 5 days, he spent 4 of them in the hospital. Graydon had to stay his first 2 days in the neonatal ICU to receive IV antibiotics because some blood tests were off. Even though he ended up without an infection, he had been poked and prodded in about every way and this was painful for everyone. On day 3, we finally went home as a family, but he had to be readmitted to the hospital b/c of a little bit of jaundice and stayed there on days 4 and 5. Graydon was very brave for all the times where they had to prick his heel and take blood samples and dad was always right beside him with comforting words.

We were just discharged from the hospital this morning and are enjoying time alone as a family. We can’t believe how much joy and love Graydon is bringing to our family.

As for the hospital stays, we’re afraid it doesn’t end there. Graydon was born with a partial cleft lip and will have to go through surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in about 3 months. But we’ve heard great things about this hospital program and know that it’s better to have this surgery performed at a young age.

So that’s the update. We’ve attached a photo and we’re probably biased when we say that he’s the cutest little boy ever. He has already won our hearts and we hope to introduce him to you soon.
